Overview

The Boundary_opt_parameters data structure can be used to define parameterized boundary displacements for associated spatial grids, or geometry sets if no grids are defined. This feature is intended to be used in the optimisation workflow, along with geoinv, where the na algorithm is used to generate optimal boundary displacements to match a target stress state at various (well) locations on the domain. Internally, the scalar displacement factors (1,2 or 3 for constant, linear and quadratic distributions respectively) in VALUES are interpolated as prescribed displacements normal to the associated face.
