Zmap Import

 

Note that the only item relevant to HEX to TET conversion during Zmap import is to correctly set the type of the output spatial grids for the properties imported from Zmap data. The example files are provided in ParaGeo Examples\General Examples\Ex_009\01_Zmap_Import\Data

1If any property imported from Zmap data is going to be used in the TET model then Spatial_grid_type must be set to "Group" so that the output .spat file will contain a spatial grid with the full topology of the HEX grid and the the facies defined on  such HEX grid cells. In such a way ParaGeo will be able later to map the properties from the HEX grid to the TET mesh.  

 

 

 

Results

 

The results are provided in ParaGeo Examples\General Examples\Ex_009\01_Zmap_Import\Results. Relevant output for the present case comprises:

 

•Ex_009_abaq.inp : File containing the HEX mesh and conversion data

•Ex_009_props_Facies.spat : File containing full definition of the topology and facies of the HEX grid
