Prescribed temperature may be assigned to all entity types and may be applied in all fields. If the thermal field is active the prescribed temperature defines prescribed values at the nodes of the mesh and the thermal equations are solved for the remaining nodes. If the thermal field is inactive, however, the prescribed temperature field should be applied to all body entities (surfaces 2-D, volumes 3-D) to ensure that the temperature is applied to all nodes of the groups that require the temperature field. Prescribed temperature is defined as a series of prescribed temperature sets; i.e.
