Gravity_data

Data Structure: Gravity_data

Description

Gravitational constant data structure

Usage

Gravity_data     NUM=ival   where ival  is the data structure number

Description

Overview

The Gravity_data structure is used to define the gravitational constant. This is used by the geomechanical and porous fields to define gravitational loads.

Notes

By default, if defined, gravitational loading will be active in all fields. It can however be restricted to individual fields by using the Porous_flow_load_flag and Geomechanical_load_flag keywords.

A Time_curve can be associated with gravitational loading to allow ramping up of gravity during initialisation. If no Time_curve is specified gravitational loading will be applied as an instantaneous load.

Only one Gravity_data data structure is to be specified.
