Data Structure: Orthotropic_mesh_set |
|
Description |
data structure |
Usage |
Orthotropic_mesh_set NUM=ival where ival is the data structure number |
Description |
Overview The Orthotropic_mesh_set data structure allows the increase in mesh density (i.e. decrease in element size) in the direction normal to the bedding plane which enables an orthotropic mesh to be achieved with high aspect ratio elements. This is done by sub-dividing the target ParaGeo group into a user-defined number of notional sub-volumes / sub-layers. Usage applications include coupled ParaGeo-IX reservoir simulations where the reservoir in the ParaGeo model needs to be represented with layered properties.
Notes •Several Orthotropic_mesh_set data structures may be defined.
