Welcome to the ParaGeo Reference Manual. This document aims to help the user in understanding ParaGeo functionalities and in defining datafiles for ParaGeo models.
ParaGeo datafiles may contain several data structures in which the data for model definition is specified. The type of data to be defined will depend on the data structure (e.g. different data structures are dedicated to the definition of the geometry entities, definition of the stratigraphy, definition of an external load, etc.). Within each data structure the data is specified via the appropriate keywords with their corresponding options. The data structures may have an ID number. This must be unique for each type of data structure (e.g. only one Part_geometry_set may be assigned ID number = 1). If a given data structure is repeated with the same ID number within the datafile, the second data structure specified will overwrite the first one. Note that this might be used intentionally with the purpose of changing data definition during an analysis.
The chapters of this manual are organized by topics. Each topic comprise data structure manual pages for all data structures that are relevant to the topic (e.g. the topic Part Geometry Data contains manual pages for Part_geometry_set, Part_surface, etc.). Within each of those data structure manual pages, information is provided regarding the application of the data structure. In addition, all the valid keywords and their corresponding valid options for each data structure are properly described. Note that the topic manual pages (e.g. Part Geometry Data in the picture below) may also contain an overview of the topic.
