The Slice filter extracts a slice from a model. Different shapes for the slice may be defined (plane, sphere, cylinder, etc.). Here only plane will be discussed. To create a Slice filter:

1.Select the dataset in the Pipeline Browser

2.Click on the icon from the task bar or Filters/Alphabetical/Slice . A plane will show up on the display window.

3.Define the plane orientation by defining its origin and normal vector components in the properties menu.

4.Click on . The slice will be shown on the display window.
