Utilities for geometry operations allow to manipulate or perturb an existing geometry. Those operations include (among others):

 

1.Merge several groups into a single group

2.Separation of geometry entities (e.g. a single surface may be separated into 2 duplicated surfaces for contact)

3.Split of lines into two lines at target points

4.Geometry section operations which allow to define lines or surfaces intersecting a 2D or 3D geometry in order to obtain the intersecting geometry. For example, the user may define a section surface in order to extract a 2D section from a 3D geometry.
