In the present tutorial example the Gmsh script for generation of the Ex_008 tutorial example geometry will be discussed. Key highlights you will learn from this tutorial are:
1.Definition of a 3D faulted geometry using pre-defined 3D geometry entities
2.Using boolean operations to split the geometry in the fault
3.Parameterise model dimensions by using variables
4.Define regions of the model with finer mesh sizes
5.Defining physical groups for creation of geometry sets during geometry conversion
6.Export of the mesh and conversion to ParaGeo format
Notes
•It should be noted that slightly different data than the one used in Ex_008 example may result from the present tutorial example (e.g. different surface numbers in a given Geometry_set). This is because the original Gmsh script used to generate the original Ex_008 geometry has some differences to the present script described and provided here.
