This example considers the staged geostatic initialization of a graben with geometry configuration similar to the tutorial example Geost_002. In this case however the focus is put into the contact algorithm adopted to perform the simulation rather than in the initialisation procedure. For this case the geometry includes a single fault and an horizontal detachment. The fault geometry is not flat, accounting for some rugosity.
Results from cases adopting the node-to-node (Case01) and node-to-facet (Case02) algorithms are compared. The user is assumed to be familiar with ParaGeo data definition specially with contact data and geostatic initialisation so only the contact data structures most relevant to the present case will be discussed in detail here. Thus the user is recommended to be familiar with tutorial examples Cont_001 and Geost_002 beforehand.
