This example provides an introduction to cased and cemented 3D wellbore modelling using a coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical (THM) modelling strategy. Features of the example comprise:
1THM coupled simulation.
2Quarter-symmetry single layer model.
3Deactivated porous flow in casing and cement.
4Total stress representation of casing and cement.
5Time-dependent cement hardening material:
a.Initial cement material (slurry) is defined with very weak von Mises yield strength of 0.02 MPa.
b.For cement hardening stage, the von Mises yield strength is increased (linearly) to 50 MPa and the associated cement hardening shrinkage is represented via a diagenetic reaction based on a porosity power law model that is independent of temperature.
6Usage of transient time growth increment in solution control.
