Coupling data

ParaGeo allows coupled simulations of the chosen fields (geomechanical, fluid flow and thermal) to be performed. The main data structure for performing coupled simulations is Couple_control_data in which the solved coupled fields are specified as well as the definition of the coupling algorithms and options. Note that in order to run coupled simulations there are other data structures that must be set with appropriate options i.e.:

1.In Group_control_data the relevant fields must be activated for all the coupled groups.

2.In Group_data the Porous_flow_type must be set to type 4 for simulations in which geomechanical and fluid flow are coupled

3.In Control_data:

a.Solution_algorithm must be set to 4

b.Initial_time_increment must be defined specifying the fluid flow step size

4.In Material_data the relevant material properties for the solved fields must be defined (e.g. a pore fluid must be assigned to the material, permeability, thermal conductivity, etc.)
