Tutorials

In this section of the manual tutorials concerning different aspects of ParaGeo's workflow are provided. The tutorials that you can find here are:

ParaGeo Tutorial Examples

Tutorial suitable for familiarisation with ParaGeo data file definition. Illustrative categorized examples are described in detail in order to instruct the user in ParaGeo data structures usage concerning different simulation items (i.e. geometry definition, mesh generation, definition of boundary conditions, etc.

ParaGeo Examples

Tutorial examples designed to be a quick reference for usage of different data structure types. Those examples are suitable for users that are already familiarised with ParaGeo and who look for different examples of data set up concerning a given type of data (e.g. contact, sedimentation, etc.). The focus on those examples is only put on the discussed data and a detailed description of all the data structures in the data file is not provided.

ParaGeo Validation Examples

ParaGeo example cases which are validated to known analytical solutions and/or compared to the solution obtained from other codes.

ParaGeo-IX Tutorial Examples

Tutorial demonstrating ParaGeo-IX coupling workflow and the corresponding data files definition.

ParaGeoInv Tutorial Examples

Tutorial examples demonstrating ParaGeoInv workflow to perform inversion analysis in order to find optimal material parameters which provided a modelling set up satisfy given target results.

Abaqus Format Tutorial Examples

Tutorial case demonstrating definition of the simulation input data file using supported Abaqus-style keywords. That Abaqus-style data file is used to generate the equivalent ParaGeo data file to be used in the simulation.

ParaView Tutorial

A tutorial on ParaView as a post processing tool for ParaGeo. The most used operations of result processing are described.

Gmsh Tutorial

Tutorials demonstrating how to use Gmsh as a ParaGeo geometry and mesh pre-processor.
